Cube Central 378 is a very special project, because Cube Real Estate, together with local residents, founded a plan group, the “Planwerkstatt 378”, specifically for this purpose. In exchange with each other, new designs have been created that take into account the wishes of the neighbourhood. In June 2020, the district council of Düsseldorf's Flingern-Süd district approved the jointly developed designs to build an urban district along Erkrather Straße and Kiefernstraße, which is intended to interpret the term “home” in a very special way. The more than 13,500 m² of living and usable space should provide space for:
- apartments, including furnished apartments and socially subsidized apartments
- commercial spaces (offices, shops)
- Innovative living areas and studios
- A public green space
- A space for art and culture
